By airbrushing art to your automobile you can create a unique paint job that really shows off your style. Once you've the basics down on how to work the airbrush then you can certainly pretty much create some great airbrush art on your automobile. It does not matter if you can draw you aren't. There is no need to be able to free hand you art work either. Stencils can be used to airbrush art on your automobile just the same as any other surface or project. The art which you create with airbrushing is only limited by your own imagination. There are plenty of places to get stencils or get design ideas to be able to create your own stencils.

If you do build your own stencils for airbrushing your automobile don't use paper to create your stencils. Automobiles need plenty of paint and this will damage paper stencils quickly. So stick with plastic or vinyl material to your stencils. A great cheap plastic for stencils is thin plastic folders. These may be picked up cheaply in office supply areas of most stores.

When you are performing airbrush art there are different types of airbrushes that are available. The best airbrush to use for putting airbrush art onto a car or truck is a gravity fed airbrush. This is actually the one that professionals use and can give your artwork a superior quality look. The paint could be automotive paint but make certain you use a well ventilated area as the fumes can pose a health hazard. It's advisable when using automotive paint to utilize a respirator at all times. When using automotive paint make certain that it is thin enough circulate through the airbrush. If the automotive paint that you've chosen does not flow then thin it down so it flows. The paint must be thinned to about a milk thickness. An excellent automotive lacquer will work fine to weaken your automotive paint.

Different airbrush art demands different psi on your compressor. PSI stands for pounds per square inch as well as for automotive airbrush art you need a compressor that has a psi of 55-65. Iwata is a great brand name to go with and they offer four compressors that will work for airbrushing automotives. Badger is another good brand name that you can go with. They offer several air compressors that can work when doing airbrush art on automobiles.

With regards to any part of your actual airbrush equipment such as the airbrush and its parts as well as the compressor ensure that you go with name brand. Do not use any fakes a these will cost you additional money and lots of headaches in the long run. You will get what you pay for and when you are looking for airbrush art you need to go with names that you could trust. A lot of knock offs will also give for a harder time finding replacement parts when they tear up. Knock offs will tear up quicker than the name brands. So save yourself the irritation of being in the middle of your airbrush art project on the automobile and find yourself unable to get replacement parts to your airbrush equipment.

For different ways to trick out your truck have a look at Direct Bolt On Lambo Doors Vertical Doors Inc kits.

Car maintenance is not an option. Even if you know nothing about how a car works or have no mechanical aptitude whatsoever, there's a few simple steps you can take to keep your car running in top form. This simple maintenance will save you time and money, as well as making for a safer, better performing vehicle.

--Wash your car regularly: Keeping the exterior clean may not be as important as taking care of what's under the hood, but it still has a number of practical upsides. A clean car looks better, of course, and its much more enjoyable to drive a clean car than a dirty car. More significantly, frequent washing will keep your headlights and windshield clean, as well as preventing rust and corrosion.

--Wash underneath your car: Washing the undercarriage of your car is a good idea in any case, and downright essential if you live where it snows a lot. The salt, sand and other chemicals used for snow removal collect underneath your vehicle and will cause rust damage faster than anything else. Even during the winter, its important to wash your car at least once a week paying special attention to the wheel wells and undercarriage.

--Rinse your engine: Keeping the engine clean helps your car run cooler, and washing away crusty oil, battery acid, etc, will help prevent damage to engine parts.

--Clean your air filter: Change your filter every time you change your oil filter. In between changes, give the filter a good spray with a compressed air hose and blow out the filter chamber as well. Filters are so cheap that you have no excuse to be running around with a dirty one.

--Check and change your oil: Check the dipstick level every time you stop for gas, and don't run your car without the appropriate amount of oil. An older vehicle may burn oil, but if you have a new car that is burning oil it needs to be checked out. Change your oil frequently"at least every 5,000 miles and better still, every 3,000 miles. Change your filter when you change the oil or youre going to be pumping clean oil through a dirty filter which defeats the purpose. Oil changes are a pretty easy job even for those without much of a mechanical background, and drive thru oil change businesses are ubiquitous in any decent sized market. Most of these places do a decent job and charge a reasonable fee. Many also take care of several other of the maintenance tasks on this list.

--Check and top off other fluids: Change your anti-freeze/coolant annually, and check the coolant reservoir anytime youre under the hood to make sure that its full. It's also a good time to look for cracks or other damage. Check the transmission, brake and power-steering fluids frequently, and top off when necessary. If your car is going through a lot of these hydraulic fluids it indicates a leak or other mechanical issue and needs to be looked at as soon as possible.

--Take good care of your tires: Check your air pressure levels with a tire gauge at least once a week, keeping them filled to manufacturer specified levels. Check the spare tire--if you have a 'real' tire as a spare make sure it's properly inflated, and even if you have a 'donut' temporary spare make sure it isn't damaged. Rotate your tires every few months or more frequently if you drive a lot of miles. This will insure even wear, and along with proper inflation will prevent countless problems as well as saving you time and money.

Emergency tools and equipment: Despite your best efforts to the contrary, things will eventually go wrong. When in does, youll be glad that you planned ahead. These items should be in your trunk at all times: tire gauge, pliers (slip-joint and needle nose), adjustable wrench, flat head and Phillips screwdriver. Dont buy cheap tools"theyll break and the least opportune times. Invest in Craftsman tools or another premium brand, and youll be set for life. Youll also need a flashlight, and if you live somewhere it snows its also a good idea to have salt, sand, a small shovel, and a blanket just in case you get snowbound and have to sleep in your car. A cellphone charger is also a good thing to have, since a cellphone doesn't do much good if your batteries are dead. There are also 'emergency' cellphone chargers that don't require a power source.

--Get an auto club membership: An auto club at a minimum should give you free towing, trip continuation insurance, lockout service, free maps, and some other bells and whistles. AAA is the best known, but there are countless others provided by credit card companies, cellphone providers, banks, etc. Shop around and find the best deal for the services you need. A growing number of car manufacturers also include lifetime roadside assistance, and not just luxury brands--Mini Cooper and Volkswagen offer new car buyers 24 hour roadside assistance free of charge. Also, ask about the size of their provider network. In a decent sized city you'll be fine but if you live or frequently travel in less populated areas you might want to stick to AAA or another major company. There's nothing more infuriating that learning that your auto club doesn't have providers in Mesquite, Nevada or Vernal, Utah.

None of these tips require any significant mechanical competence or even more than a basic knowledge of how the car works. Still, they can help save time and money, extend the life of your vehicle and provide a safer driving experience.

By tradition, middle class suburbanites would wash the car on Sunday morning before going for a drive with the family in the afternoon. Some individuals took this task earnestly, but for most it was twenty or thirty minutes washing and polishing the outside and five minutes with the vacuum cleaner inside. These days a great deal more people expect a proper cleaning that in those days was reserved for the well-off.

However, having your car detailed or valeted is still not cheap, typically costing $75 for an average clean on an average sized car in average condition. When you begin talking about a grimy SUV that has just been used to transport the school football team, detailing in the right manner at a good establishment can cost $300-$400.

Not a great deal of drivers can afford to pay that out frequently, particularly with the price of petrol being what it is, so here are a couple of car detailing pointers to help you do it yourself (or get the kids to do it for you).

i] Take out everything that can be removed and vacuum the carpets. Then wash the windows on the inside and clean the seats, upholstery and dash with an appropriate cleaner, especially if the seats are covered in leather upholstery. Wash the items you removed, dry them and replace. Put a stick of slow-acting air freshener in the glove compartment and close all the doors.

2] Hose your car down, especially in the wheel arches and under the bonnet to remove the worst of the muck and soften up anything that has gone rock-solid. Do not use a really strong power washer, ie one that is attached to a powerful pump. These power washers can blast grit away so hard that it scratches the paintwork. A regular hose attached directly to the mains is fine

3] Check the mud under the wheel arch and blast it off with a slightly more powerful jet if yu have to. Do the wheels too, if they are bad. Once you can no longer see any build up of sludge, you can move on to the next stage.

4] Either mix a bucket of warm soapy water or fix a soap dispenser to your hose pipe. It is worth investing in proper car cleaner, because kitchen detergent could be a little harsh for your car's paintwork.

Do not try to save money on the amount of detergent you use, follow the manufacturer's recommendations and apply it with a sponge or mitten. If you are using a bucket, be ready to change the water several times - you do not want to start rubbing grit into your paintwork.

Wash the car in sections starting with the roof and then rinse it off immediately. So, wash the roof, rinse it; wash a door panel, rinse it; move on and around your car until you get to the bottom - the bumpers and wheels.. You have to rinse instantly to stop a film of soap drying onto the paintwork, especially on a warm day.

Re-rinse the whole car in case you missed something. If you purchased a car wash with wax included, you are done, but if you would like the best finish, now is the time to wax on and then wax off.

You have surely seen auto navigation systems in your friends' cars and you could be on the point of buying one yourself. It is certainly true that the auto navigation systems are impressive and the price of a unit has fallen fairly radically over the last few years. There are indeed many benefits to be derived from owning an auto navigation system, which is also known as sat nav.

In this piece, we will take a look at some of the most important benefits of using a sat nav system.

Safety is paramount in whatever activity you undertake and safety has to be taken into account when driving as well. It is difficult to know whether the world used to be a safer place or not, but it is a fact that nowadays more people are wary of getting embroiled with strangers than they were previously.

Solitary drivers do not want to stop a stranger and admit that they are lost or even stranded. Maybe the stranger will send you into an ambush, set up hastily over a mobile phone as you drive off happily suspecting nothing. People have become very suspicious of strangers.

It goes without saying that lone female drivers are the most distrustful of asking strangers for directions, but families with children are often very wary as well.

Using an auto navigation system solves this problem, because you will never get lost again, presuming that the sat nav unit is wired to your car battery or you have spare batteries for a hand-held device in the glove compartment.

Confidence in getting to your destination on time, if you have left early enough, is another major benefit. Traffic jams, road works, accidents and natural disasters will no longer be surprises to you and your sat nave system will be able to propose alternative routes in order to avoid the obstacle. This is a very big advantage.

You will no longer have to leave really early to make sure you miss the traffic or to make certain you get somewhere on time. Sat nav will give your ETA. This can save you a whole load of stress, especially if you have to be in certain places for work or the kids all the way through the day.

Not to have to juggle with maps is a godsend as well. No more folding and refolding maps and struggling to remember portions of the route and then stopping to check and remember the next section of the route. Maps are always out of date too. New sections of motorway are always being added and small roads are sometimes closed for a new housing project. Paper maps just cannot keep up.

The last but not automatically the least major advantage is the freedom an auto navigation system gives to you in your spare time. It opens up the countryside If you were always a little uneasy about going on a Sunday drive because you did not know the way or did not have a co-pilot to read the map, now you can just go with your auto navigation system.

Owen Jones, the writer of this piece writes on different topics, but is presently involved with the Snooper sat nav system. If you would like to know more, please go to our website at Escort 8500.

Lawn tractors are generally tiny tractors intended for farm work up to two acres. There are a number of attachments to the tractor, which can reduce your manual work quite considerably. This can help you employ your available time effectively in working on your garden in trim condition all year round. Lawn tractors are flexible items of kit. They can do a lot of roles such as cutting, ploughing, lawn rolling, lamp post hole digging, and masses of other roles that need to be done around the farm or home.

These roles are made possible through their power take off shaft. This makes lawn tractors one of the gardener's very best friends.

Purchasing a lawn tractor is much like buying a car. The cost of a used model is a lot less even if there is little more wear than being driven out from the show room floor.

Consider the tractor you are purchasing very diligently. It is generally recommended that you try the tractor for yourself and get an idea about the time required in attaching and detaching the various accessories. Test-drive the tractor, and try and get a feel of getting out and in of tractor. Just taking it for a test spin, doesn't mean that you have to get it there and then. Resist the pressure, and consider your options carefully.

The basic model available is a Bolen 762F76, and the John Deere Spin-Steer SST-16 is available, albeit at a higher price range. The Poulan Pro PK185H42ST is in between these two in both price and quality.

Remember this is just the cost of tractor alone without accessories. Accessories can include lots of different pieces. Just to begin with you can have a cover, a grass collection bag, small and big carts, and much, much more, all of which can add to the price, making it even more necessary to get a superb price at the start. If you are going to use your tractor solely for lawn cropping, and you have a tiny farm of one or two acres, you'll have a glance at the stand-behind mower rather than going for a full on lawn tractor. All the same, look around and in this economy you must be in a position to find some real bargains if you look around.

Now, Weldon Duffy reveals more on John Deere Tractor Savings which you can access via the John Deere Tractors site.

The idea that die cast model cars are valuable collectors items is probably true, since they have been classed as collectibles since the 1930s. In 1934, Dinky Toys brought out die cast metal toy cars, which presumably parents brought for little boys, who grew up to be men who still liked the cars, and turned play into collecting.

Anyway, contrast these collectibles with Beanie Babies, which turned out to be a fad. Nowadays you see them mainly in thrift shops, not in display cases or mounted on lamp stands. You do see die cast cars in thrift shops, but they are segregated and individually priced, not thrown in with other small toys as the cute little baby animals are.

Why collect car models? Well, why collect anything? You either get it or you don't. But collecting these little (3") or not so little cars (10" - 12") does make sense to a lot of people. To begin with, they may have started as toys, but they soon developed in to scale models, or miniaturized representations of actual vehicles. They are true to life in proportion and detail, thereby rising above the toy level to the distinction of true models.

Die cast cars have traditionally been made of metal of one sort of another, or a combination of metals, forced into a mold while molten, with much pressure to fill the mold and to allow the metal to harden. Today you can also have die cast (or diecast, since the terms are used interchangeably) plastic cars. The metal ones are the collectible ones of choice, it seems, although early plastics have definitely become collectible, so who knows?

The models are still being enthusiastically made, and the age of the model does not seem to automatically raise the price. As in the original, actual car, the appeal is in the eye of the beholder. A model car may be a remembrance, of the VW bug that was your first car, of the memories that are aroused by the sight of a 1969 Mustang convertible, or of sitting on the floor watching the General Lee fulfill all your six-year old ideas of what a car could do.

It may also be as close as you will ever get to owning a Ferrari, say, or a Lamborghini. If you really always wanted one, somebody is sure to give you a model for Christmas sooner or later. If you really rate, it may be a premium model with doors that open, a steering wheel that turns not only itself but the wheels as well, and a working suspension. If your friends really get carried away, they may get you one with a working internal combustion engine, although they are venturing close to the toy line here.

As in all collecting, it is wise to focus. You may want to start with police cars, with all the versions of the Batmobile, with cars from famous movies, or from the era of history that interests you most. The choice of models in all these categories and more is very large, and there are many manufacturers who used to and/or are still making these small vehicles.

It can turn into a hobby, too; you may want to put your cars into display cases and hang them on the wall, but you may want to restore them, airbrushing on bright, glossy colors, or set them in dioramas with little, die cast gangsters or carhops or service men just the right scale to match.

Anyway, model cars are valuable collectors items - valuable in terms of the fun of it all if not in the investment possibilities.

Model cars aren't just for kids. Die cast models cars on classic cars are treasures of our past.

The economy may be tepid, but Indian motorcycle dealers are heating up quickly. Indian was the first American domestic motorcycle manufacturer. Though the brand went dormant after'53, the Indian motorcycle dealer is making a definite comeback, with plans for 50 Indian new motorcycle dealers through 2011 ...

Indian Motorcycle Company was manufacturing standard motorcycles through the'20 and 30s. With the boom in production they managed to sell 5000 Chiefs with side cars to France during World War II. In 2009 the new Indian Motorcycle Company opened its international dealership in Paris keeping up with the tradition.

Though the Indian motorcycle brand has been owned by three different manufacturers over the past century, the loyal following of these bikes has remained unchanged throughout. Currently, the company manufactures motorcycles in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

Dealerships of Indian Motorcycle Company have been set up in several places, Lowell NC being the first one to be set up in 2008. It may not have been in production for a long time but the demand for Indian Chief bike is quite big. People want the bike because they feel it has a distinctive background which is attached to the history of US.

The first dealer of Indian motors which opened in Lowell in October 2009 is something exclusive as far as its architecture is concerned. It has a 50 foot high Indian "front fender" in stainless steel built outside the construction with an Indian head decorated with light above it. This architectural lavishness is one of the first amongst the major Indian dealership dealing with the motorcycle.

When you step inside the dealership you will find a model of Indian Chief on a turntable significantly placed. You will also find video screens throughout the dealership showing the great achievements of this classic brand.

For those old fashioned group who still like the Indian brand of motorcycle a dealership in Charlotte has number of parts from the "Gilroy era" (1999-2003). You can visit this dealership Indian Motorcycle when you are in Charlotte and procure some of these parts as they will get it for you.

The premiere Indian Motorcycle dealership came up in Lowell in October 2008 with branches coming up in all parts of the country like Detroit, Paducah, Witchita, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Scranton, Boston, Omaha, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Las Vegas, and North Jersey.

The Indian motorcycle is showing a lot of interest in teaming up with business people who are fond of and are fans of motorcycles to open new dealerships. So you will see a number of Indian motors dealers coming up in future. You may consider 2010s to be the brightest period in Indian Motors' history since its inception in the beginning of 20th century.
